Sensei Daniels retired from a career that spanned 36 years teaching, coaching and mentoring children in the North Carolina Public School System. (25 years at North Davidson Middle School.)
Sensei Daniels has been teaching the art of Karate since 1968. He is the owner operator of Bill Daniels Karate School in Welcome, N.C. He is updated monthly by the Martial Arts Industry Association on the latest group and individual instructional techniques for Martial Arts.
Sensei Daniels holds a 6th Degree Black Belt in the Japanese Style of Shito-Ryu, a 6th Degree Black Belt in the American Open Style, from the USKA Association, and a 3rd Degree Black Belt in the Japanese Style of Gojo-Ryu.
From 1977 through 1982 Sensei Daniels was the Champion in the East Coast Full Contact Tournament. In the Southeast Region Full Contact Tournament he was the Champion from 1980 thru 1985. Sensei Daniels holds a 24-2 record in full contact fighting.
In March 2005 Sensei Daniels was awarded the Living Legends Sports Karate Award by the National Dojo Organization. In May of 2007 he earned admission to the AKA Hall of Fame.
